Chicago and Planet Color

I wanted to share an experience that I had a little over a week ago. I was sponsored to go to a class of the Art & Science of Planet Color. Man did I get schooled. The class was intense and very informative.

I've been working with water borne paints for a long time. I have been thinking about making the switch to Uros for some time now. I have tried a few different things from my local vender's. But hadn't made up my mind on wish system was worked for me. Most of my hold up was finding something that plays well with everyone else on the block and is available locally. A Rep for Martin Senour ( Kevin Stammer) came in and shared some very good information about the new Planet Color system. That is when I decided to try it out and check out the class for fun. There is where I was surprised. Not only did I get some of the best schooling that I have had in many years. I was given the open opportunity to play with a wide variety of colors, effects and spraying equipment.

Robert Smith, the instructor, knows his stuff. And really knows how to teach. I can not get over how truly genuine he is and the passion he has for the product and what it can do. Not only did I feel like I was schooled, I feel like I made a new friend.

I'm real glad that I had waited to start with a paint system. I know that there are many other systems that are very popular and work great for all of the right reasons. But I know that this is the one for me.
I have attached a couple pictures of my first Uros half tank and some fun stuff. ( I know its not much to all you hard core color masters, but its a big step for me.) Everyone else at the class was super and also very helpful. The group had a blast and really got into the grove with this system. I'm sure I will be posting many new panels and projects that involve this great custom line. Thanks for letting me share my new excitement. KK
